mission-critical law enforcement activities and services including
high-profile investigations, criminal corruption probes, cold cases, the
electronic Sex Offender Registration and Notification (eSORN) database, and
the state’s Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). Planned news
conferences, town hall meetings, and other media events, developing news
releases and talking points to guide agency representatives in communicating

Directed the development of communications, strategies, and media plans for
more than fifty AG sections, joining forces with senior staff—Chief of Staff
and Communications Director—on crisis, routine, and ad hoc communications
for internal and external audiences. Fielded 30 to 40 media inquiries each
day including those from local and national radio, television, and print
outlets. Prepared communications including letters from the AG’s desk, news
releases, fact sheets, op-eds, quarterly publications, talking points, and
speeches to represent the position of the AG’s office and its 1,200
