Co-anchored weekday evening newscasts. Also reported on local feature, human interest, arts/entertainment, health/fitness stories. Increased the station’s visibility in the community by hosting numerous charitable and civic events.

Anchor/reporter, KBAK-TV (CBS), Bakersfield CA 2002-2003
Anchored live field reports for Daybreak (5-7a). Produced and anchored the local cut-ins during The Early Show on CBS. Responsibilities also included producing the morning live shots; reporting live for the noon newscast; and frequently providing look-lives or packages for the evening news.

Anchor/reporter, Around & About Orange County News, Santa Ana CA 1999-2000
Anchor/reporter for this half-hour weekly cable TV news magazine show, aired in Orange County CA. Initially general assignment reporter, and ultimately main anchor.

Host, Panda Shopping Channel, TVN Shopping Network, Los Angeles CA 2000
Live host on a 3-camera set. Programming on this 24-hour live home shopping channel was distributed nationally on cable and DirecTV. Frequently, there were items that were not on the original rundown that were inserted into the program at the last minute, handled similarly to breaking news on an anchor desk. This job required spontaneity, creativity and extensive improvisation.

Produced and delivered live on-air traffic reports for LA and surrounding areas for CBS O&O 24-hour news radio stations, KNX 1070 AM, KFWB 980 AM and other stations.

Radio traffic reporter, KFI 640 AM (Airwatch, Clear Channel), Los Angeles 2002
Produced and reported traffic conditions in LA and surrounding areas for this top-ranked AM station in LA and other stations. Reporting traffic updates 10 times an
hour is comparable to doing a live shot every 6 minutes (taking a live toss, and
having a limited time to deliver an informative yet concise report) to bring the
latest details to a city that considers traffic reports an integral resource.
This position required focus, spontaneity, and an ability to adlib.

Host/producer, LuxuriaMusic.com (Clear Channel internet radio station in LA) 2001
Created, produced, programmed and hosted a weekly music and talk show called Kaci's Foreign Affair, featuring classic and contemporary cocktail lounge music, with celebrity guests occasionally joining me to co-host my show. The station was broadcast live via the Internet with simulcast video stream.
