JULY 2007-PRESENT - PRINCE GEORGE’S COMMUNITY TELEVISION, LARGO, MD
Community Reporter/Producer/Fill-in Anchor. Research, write and report daily stories for a cable news broadcast station. Edit vo’s, vosots and packages on linear and non-linear systems, including Final Cut Pro. Live-look experience. Host and produce a monthly talk show called “A Different Look,” that focuses on community issues, education and entertainment.

Freelance Writer/Reporter. Write and report news stories for a cable news broadcast station. Conduct interviews, develop and edit packages, and operate studio cameras during live productions.

SEPT. 2005-PRESENT - THE GAZETTE NEWSPAPER, LAUREL, MD
Freelance Reporter. General assignment reporter for a weekly community newspaper covering education, government and feature stories. Arrange interviews and interview sources for stories.

April 2003 to Aug. 2005 - Public Opinion Newspaper, Chambersburg, PA
Health Reporter. Health and fitness beat reporter for a daily publication that served about
17,000 people. Enterprised daily stories and met deadlines. Previous reporting positions included general assignment, business, crime, education and entertainment. Arranged and conducted interviews, and developed sources. Held focus groups with residents to find out what their major concerns were in the community.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

April 2000 to July 2002 - Navy Federal Credit Union, Vienna, VA
Delinquency Control Counselor. Controlled the delinquency on outstanding loans up to two months past due. Evaluated member’s financial situation and determined the proper method of approach. Analyzed credit reports, counseled members, and developed strong communication skills. Maintained a high tolerance for stress. Developed organizational abilities and analytical skills.
