EDUCATION: WESTERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY, Danbury, CT. – May 2005 Bachelor of Science in Meteorology UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE, Durham, NH. – May 1999 Associates in Forestry and Applied Sciences EXPERIENCE: Weekend Meteorologist/Weekday Reporter, KJCT News 8 August 2005 – August 2006 - Prepared weather forecasts for Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. - Prepared graphics using Weather Central’s “Genesis” system. - Co-anchored live morning newscast. - Anchored cut-ins and news briefs to Good Morning America and CNN Headline News. - Participated in public appearances both related and non-related to weather. - Experienced reporting/writing various types of news stories including a weekly package on Colorado Outdoors. - Edited stories using a Non-Linear Editing System. Broadcasting Meteorology Training - WFSB – Hartford CBS 3, Broadcast Meteorology Intern, Hartford, CT. June - August 2004 - Broadcasted weather web casts for the Western Connecticut State University FALL 2003 – SPRING 2005. - Completed courses on broadcast meteorology with an emphasis on show preparation and on-air presentation.
