Forecast and present weather on air for the 5, 6 and 11pm newscasts on NBC and the 10pm newscast on our sister station. Supervise morning and weekend meteorologists and monitor their on-air presentations. Develop severe weather protocol for breaking weather situations. Worked in a multi-platform environment, including TV, Radio, Newspaper, Internet, and V-Cast.

Developed forecasts for the Jackson Metro Area and created graphics using Weather Genesis software. Presented forecasts on air for the 5PM, 6PM, and 10PM newscasts. Update Internet, emailed clientele, and updated WeatherPhone.

Forecasted, generated graphics, and presented on air forecasts for air in over 30 markets across the United States per day, ranging in size from New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA and Houston, TX to Morgan City, LA, Kalispell, MT and Laughlin, NV. Provided anywhere from 10 second teases to 3 minute forecasts mostly for use in evening broadcasts. Developed specialized graphics for each market using WSI Weather Producer/Show FX software.

Forecasted for most of the Central Florida region during the volatile summer months and first part of hurricane season. Updated web. Used WSI Weather Producer and Show-FX program. Worked freelance during winter months

Compiled original forecast for Ithaca area. Assisted in creating graphics to be used on television broadcast, and then presented forecast on-air for NewsWatch Sixteen.

Meteorology Intern, WOKR-13 NewsSource 13, Rochester, NY
May 2001- August 2001

Created short term and long-range forecasts for Rochester area to be broadcasted on air and sent to the clientele of NewsSource 13. Made all animations and graphics used on the 5PM, 5:30PM, and 6PM newscasts. Recorded voice forecasts for use of local radio stations and weatherphone. Updated weather forecasts for websites. Worked for Bill Peterson, and gained from his decades of broadcast experience. Used WSI Weather Producer and Show-FX computer programs.
