Experience 10/07 – 10/09 WMTW – TV Portland, ME General Assignment Reporter • Collect and analyze facts about newsworthy events by interview, investigation or observation. Report and write stories about those facts for television. • Provide daily lead story live reports from the field for 11pm newscast, and live reports for the 6pm newscast when needed. • Establish and maintain contacts within the community. 09/06 – 09/07 WCCB – TV Charlotte, NC General Assignment Reporter / Fill-In Anchor • Enterprise stories for nightly newscast. • Report live from the field while covering spot and breaking news. • Fill-in as anchor when needed and to cover vacations. 03/03 – 09/06 KEPR - TV Pasco, WA Sports Director / Sports Anchor / Reporter • On 12/04 assumed the duties of Sports Director for KEPR – TV. As sports director, my responsibilities included end-to-end development of the television broadcast research, production, editing, story placement (stacking) and photography. Position also encompasses sporting event coverage (high school, college and professional). Also, the Sports Director position incorporates management of staff reporters and photographers, as well as responsibility for all sports broadcast decisions.
